It's hard not to use early Sebadoh as a reference point for these guys even though it only hints at their sound. What they have in common is that sense that you've stumbled into some private recording session somewhere late at night and are listening to them from down the hall. The similar instumentation and temperment (at least compared with the folkier, lo-fi lou barlow songs) helps too...
